  1. Being a square rig means that someone has to climb up the 30 foot mast and untie the sails. How do you prepare the crew to do this and how do some people overcome their fear of heights?
  2. If I was asleep and there was a fire onboard, is there a buddy system to check that everyone gets to the muster station and do I need to make sure that my buddy gets out?
  3. If I was on the Spirit of New Zealand could you please give some examples of how you would help me develop self awareness?
  4. How do you record the marine life you see or any problems that might be harming the environment throughout the voyage and if so, is this data recorded and analysed over time?
  5. What are good exercises for me to do on a daily basis to improve my physical strength in preparation for sailing?
