Hello everyone
I am Tiger, an endangered White Tiger. I originally came from Dreamworld in Australia. Room 7 at Karoro School have sent me off in search of adventures and information about the Christcurch Airport. I want to share these with the wonderful children in Room 7 at Karoro School.

Hi everyone
I am very tired after all my travels. In fact I think I will probably be the first one in bed and asleep – you know how cats (even rare tigers like me) like their sleep!
When we got to Christchurch Airport we had to get a security pass so that we can go “airside”. That means we get to visit places in the airport that the public don’t usually get to see. pretty exciting!

Hi everyone
I have had a fantastic day today. There has been so much going on that I’m even more tired than I was yesterday! My favourite part of the day was finding out how the big aeroplanes are guided into their parking area. There is a machine called NIGS, which stands for nose in guiding system – so that’s like the nose of the plane. In the photo you can see me standing in front of an air bridge that is basically driven into place when the plane is in position. Once all that is set the people can get off the plane – job done!

Tiger
Hi everyone
Today we met Laura Millington. Laura is a Christchurch Airport services cadet. So she is getting work experience and learning all about customer service at an airport and that sort of thing. She is really nice – although I think you probably need to be because I reckon you would have to deal with some pretty horrible people sometimes! Laura said she remembered when One Direction came through the airport. I bet you get to see all sorts of famous people when you work at an airport.

Hi everyone
At Airport Fire Services today we met Cam’s ambassador called D-Fib. He is a tiger too and we got on really well together. D-Fib told me lots of exciting stories about the things he gets to experience at the airport. It sure sounds like fun. Even so, I am really looking forward to getting back to Karoro School. I have had a great time so thank you for sending me on the field trip.
Can’t wait to see you all!
