About this trip
Gamification, digital shields and virtual reality sound like ingredients for a blockbuster movie but did you know they are key tools for keeping rail workers safe in Aotearoa? These digital solutions enable people who work on the rail network to learn and experience high consequence scenarios without facing real-world risk.
It’s not only workers who need to stay safe around our growing rail network, we all do, and that’s why ākonga are raising awareness about how to stay safe around railway tracks and trains.
From 8 August, the start of Rail Safety Week, travel online to Pōneke to:
- engage with immersive technologies helping rail workers acquire new skills and carry out their work, all while staying safe.
- find out how ākonga are creating awareness about rail safety for their peers.
- connect with people developing digital ways of working to innovate and solve problems.
