Meet Steve Croft
Job:
Construction Manager at the Memorial Park Alliance.
Job description:
I lead the team that manages all aspects of the construction works.
Work background:
Since graduating from university I have worked on a wide range of civil construction projects in New Zealand, Australia and England. My roles have ranged from Site Engineer on small subdivisions through to Project Manager of a $220M project.
Favourite part of job:
Seeing the completed works. It could be a project you have been working on for two or three years, so seeing it completed and put into public use gives a sense of achievement.
Least favourite part of job:
The fact that the projects are seldom close to home and can require people to move towns or cities for the duration of the projects.
Qualifications:
- B.E Civil (Hons)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration
- Chartered Professional Engineer
Interests outside work:
Spending time with my family, waterskiing and paddle boarding, general fitness.
