Barrie started as the LEARNZ Webmaster before moving into a wider technical role with LEARNZ. Now with over 10 years involvement in LEARNZ, and a former career as a teacher, Barrie brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his role of LEARNZ Project Manager.

Shelley Hersey
LEARNZ Field Trip Teacher

Shelley joined the team in 2009 after successfully using LEARNZ to support inquiry based learning programmes in her classroom. Coming from a school where she was in charge of Science and Outdoor Education Shelley brings 10 years teaching experience and her interest and enthusiasm for the outdoors to the LEARNZ programme.

Andrew Penny
LEARNZ Field Trip Teacher

Andrew joined the LEARNZ team in 2009. He experienced great success using virtual field trips in the classroom at Parakai School where he was a teaching deputy principal. Andrew is based in the Bay of Islands/Te Pēwhairangi.
