Meet John Sunckell
Work background:
Farmer, St John Paramedic. I have a Diploma in Agriculture, a solid science background from emergency medicine and 20+ years of involvement in water and environmental management.
Favourite part of job:
The best part of being a councillor is being able represent the people who elected me and influence the changes that we need to make to protect and improve the environment for the future.
What I am working on now:
Things of real significance for us at ECan include water quality and quantity, air quality, biodiversity and biosecurity, and urban transport.
Interests outside work:
When I had time I used to fish for salmon, play golf, work as a paramedic and travel.
