PA to the Principal
Job description:
As far as emergencies go, I help implement the Evacuation Procedures & Emergency drills with the Management team and other staff at Waitākiri School.
Work background:
I have been working at Waitākiri School (previously Windsor School) for 12 years and before that was in the hotel industry.
Favourite part of job:
Chatting to all the neat kids!
Least favourite part of job:
Cleaning up the sick bay………yuk!
What I am working on now:
Getting ready to move to our new school, very exciting! Lots to organise to move and get updated plans in place for next year.
A quick story about a job well done:
Getting everyone to a safe place after Feb 22 earthquake in Christchurch. We had a plan in place and it worked well, and constantly learnt something new each time we had an evacuation or evacuation drill. Best thing is to have a plan in place!
Interests outside work:
Family time, days at the beach, walking my dog, bbqs and catch up with friends.
